In January of 2014, activists from Frederick, College Park, DC, and Baltimore came together to organize water-solidarity
drives and fundraisers for people affected by the Elk River chemical spill. I branded the campaign in the DC-area and West Virginia. I also created shareable images to raise awareness.
I designed this logo to capture the urgency of a broken water supply.
To help spread the word about the crisis, I created shareable graphics with the intention of grabbing people’s attention and shifting the language about the West Virginia water crisis. These graphics were used to let people know about water drop offs, fund raise, and tell the story of the water crisis and pressure politicians.
Ultimately the campaign brought in thousands of dollars and gallons of water from DC/MD to West Virginia.
